TAMD Model Interviews: Rose Noir

"Rose Noir is a goddess", I've heard this said many times by Rose's fans and I couldn't agree with them more. Since the beginning of her career in 2004, Rose has delivered quality images that leave both men and women in awe. She is by no means the typical model, being only 5' 1" and curvy she is the modern take on the classic pinups of the 50's. She is also able to create feminine glamour shots as well as gritty fetish shots with what seems to be little or no effort at all on her part. Although, I just now became acquainted with her work recently I can honestly say she is one of my all time favorite models. She shows the world that you don't have to be pencil thin to become an astounding model.

But modeling isn't the only place Rose's talents lay, she is a poet, designer, dancer, and a vocalist as well.

I wanted to learn more about the models on TAMD for sometime now and I thought this would be a great way to do so. As a big supporter of TAMD and a model with a bit of mystery about her, Rose was the perfect choice for TAMD's 1st model interview. So I messaged her with a few questions and she was kind enough to answer all of them:

What drew you to modeling?

I've always wanted to model, even when I was a little girl. But until I became apart of the alternative lifestyle, I never thought it was possible for me.

What made you choose your model alias?

Rose is actually my middle name and I really love the way Noir sounded with it, so it just sort of stuck. Red is also my favorite color, so I think of it was Red and black.

Besides being a model you are also a talented poet, care to share a poem?
LOL Sure. Heres a little something. I'm not sure how great it'll be but here it goes.

Twisted pleasures in the blood of our brothers; feature the feathers on the wings of thy goddess. Repent, oh naive little soldier, repent and thou shalt be saved.

Other then writing and modeling what else do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I also enjoy being a vocalist, drawing on occasion and I really love doing make up. I hope to become a full time make up artist in the future.

What is one thing you can't stand about the alternative modeling industry?

I can't stand how many girls think that they have to do nudity. If you're not comfortable with it, don't do it. I can't stress that enough. Never ever do something that makes you uncomfortable. Thats not to say theres anything wrong with it, but if you don't want to do not let anyone pressure you into it.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone interested in becoming a model what would that be?

What I said above and also, it takes a very long time to develop the skill and experience. Don't get bent out of shape if you're not cut out for it. Not everyone can be a model, just like not everyone can be a singer or a writer

Describe your dream photoshoot?

Oh wow, I have so many in mind. I'm not really sure I have just one dream shoot LOL. I guess I would have to say one where I can include my boyfriend, he would be a fantastic model but hes camera shy.

You recently decided to stop doing nude shoots, why is that?

Well, honestly I got tired of the negative attention. I'm an artist, not a sexual object. I was doing artistic nudity but that didn't matter to those who chose to objectify. I can be artistic without taking anything off. Other models should keep that in mind about themselves as well.

What is one thing that most people don't know about you?

Hm... I don't have a driver's license and I've never owned a car. I'm working on fixing that though.

Where or who do you draw inspiration from in modeling or in your everyday life?

Friends that are also models such as Gashley Darcane, Vita Devoid, Lily Monster-Meat... Just to name a few. I also draw inspiration from Betty Page, Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe. Never ever forget the classic beauties.

Is there anything you would like to add/promote?
I'll be making mini hats in the not so distant future, so I may be offering them up for sale through TAMD as well as other places :-)
